Frequently Asked Questions

What happens in the case of rain or wind?
Our Glasshouse is fully sheltered from the elements and can accommodate up to 40 seated guests. For larger groups, waterproof stretch tents can be hired.
How long is the event?
The event in total will last between 3-5 hours, experience dependant, but timing can be curated to accommodate your groups requirements.
Where Are You Based?
We are based in Cape Point, Cape Town. We are not situated in the Cape Point Nature Reserve (no entry fee required!) but on one of the smallholdings opposite the reserve just a 5 min drive from Scarborough, 20 mins away from Simonstown and 1 hour from Cape Town city centre.
I have a specific dietary requirement. Will you be able to accommodate me?
We can cater for most dietary requirements including dairy-free, gluten-free, vegetarians & vegans if we are informed well in advance so that we can cater accordingly (a minimum of 5 working days notice) as we cannot make menu changes on the day of event.

If you have a specific allergy, we kindly ask that you bring inhalers/epi-pens or emergency equipment that you may require as although we will avoid particular allergens during preparation, we cannot always guarantee cross-contamination where food is prepared in a kitchen which may contain said allergens.

What is your cancellation policy?

By us:

We reserve the right to postpone your booking; this includes amongst others, dangerous weather, safety issues and unforeseen circumstances. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel, we aim to give customers as much notice as possible and will offer a refund in full or the opportunity to reschedule and rebook a future event at the same price within the next 12 months.

By you:

Private Events or Corporate Bookings
A 50% non-refundable deposit will be required to secure your booking with the balance payable on or before date of event.
If you wish to reduce the number of guests attending, you may still be required to pay for the full number of spaces notified to us at the time of booking unless we agree, as we will have made commitments based on this number.
If you wish to reschedule your booking to a later date, you may do so provided you give us one month’s notice prior to your original event date and your rescheduled event takes place within 4 months of your original event date.
We require 5 working days’ notice if you need to increase the number of guests attending and we will accommodate you if we can. We are not able to refund tickets for reductions in the number of guests or guests who don’t attend the event.

Can I bring my dog/pet?
Unfortunately, we have a no pets policy as we have territorial farm dogs and farm animals free ranging on the property.
I Have Young Children. Can I Bring Them With Me?
Some of our events cater for children to join their parents/guardians, but please bare in mind that these experiences are specifically tailored for adults. If you are interested in a child-focused foraging experience, we can recommend some wonderful local experiences.
Is There Parking Nearby?
To protect the natural beauty of the surroundings, we have a limited amount of parking on-site. We urge large groups to lift share, bus in or for big events when our parking is full to please park along the road, facing the correct driving direction.
Is There Public Transport/Can I Uber There?
There is, unfortunately, no public transport in the area. If you do Uber here, we suggest arranging a pickup time with your driver as they are scarce in Cape Point and can take up to 40mins to order an Uber.
